Pope prays for those suffering from addiction

Pope Francis offered his prayer intention for the month of April for those suffering from addiction that the may be “properly helped and accompanied.”

The pope made the announcement in a video message accompanying his prayer intention released by the Vatican on April 2.

In his prayer intention, the pontiff asked everyone to pray for those who suffer from addiction, especially addiction to gambling, pornography, and the internet.

It has become the custom of Pope Francis to release a video message detailing his prayer intention for each month.
