The above video by Catholic News Service outlines the measures being taken by Pope Francis and the Vatican amid the ongoing new coronavirus epidemic.

With public Mass banned in Italy until April 3 to help stop the spread of new coronavirus, the Vatican is turning to digital venues to reach out to Catholics.

Giving the Angelus prayer via video transmitted on a screen at St. Peter’s Square;  delivering the upcoming general audience online; live-streaming early morning Masses as members of the public are no longer invited — these are some of the measures being taken by the Holy See to reach out to Catholics as millions in surrounding Italy have been forced into quarantine.
