Watch the above video about how a group of Italian missionaries from Italy in the north of Thailand created a ‘Laudato si’ social enterprise producing and selling coffee.

Profits from the enterprise — called Bruno Coffee — fund education scholarships for local children.

“Our goal is to generate revenue to sustain our mission of providing education to foster students,” adds part of the About Us on Bruno Coffee’s website. “To date, Bruno Coffee has helped and sponsored more than 1,000 children, including 200 who are boarding students in our center.”

Funds made also go to helping with training programs for local villagers to cultivate sustainable crops and towards general improvement of the living conditions of local people of the Mary Queen of Peace parish in Chae Hom, says Vatican News.
